When did you last make something?
We spend our days scrolling, clicking and buying, but rarely making. Sitting down with real leather in your hands is a different kind of evening.
From 'I could never do that' to 'I made this!’
Most people assume leatherwork takes years to learn. It doesn't. A few hours after opening the box, you'll be holding a bag you made stitch by stitch, and wondering why you waited this long to try.
The quiet satisfaction of hand-stitching
There's a rhythm to saddle-stitching leather by hand (needle through, pull tight, repeat) that's easy to lose yourself in. The smell of the leather, the weight of it in your lap. No machines, no rushing.
Every piece is an investment with a story
No two hand-sewn bags turn out quite the same. Your stitches, your pace, your hands. Add a tote for weekends and a wallet for every day, and your collection becomes more personal than anything bought off a shelf.

A craft experience like no other
Genuine leather, made with your own two hands. An investment piece you'll be proud to wear. Founded right here in Australia.
"When my $400 tote fell apart in under a year, I started digging into what designer bags actually cost to make. In 2024, a Milan court case revealed that Dior paid a supplier just €53 for a bag that retailed for €2,600. We are literally just paying for the name!
It made me realise how much I had bought into the cycle of consuming and wanting more – more bags, more fleeting trends. What I really wanted was fewer things that meant more.
So, I started Kit Atelier: genuine leather, classic designs, and everything a beginner needs to craft their own luxury-style bag. An invitation to trade mindless scrolling for pure hands-on escape, and the pride of saying, 'I made it.'"

Have questions?
How big is the scarf?
It measures 5cm wide and 90cm long. Slim enough to wrap around a bag handle, and long enough to tie a bow on a strap or in your hair.
What is it made of, and how do I care for it?
Polyester twill with a soft, silky feel and a vivid print on both sides. Hand wash gently in warm water.
How do I tie it?
Wrap it around a handle and tuck in the ends, tie a bow or knot on a strap, loop it around your wrist, or tie it through a ponytail or bun. There’s no wrong way, so have fun with it.
What’s your return policy?
If your scarf is unworn, you can return it within 100 days for a full refund. Full details in our Refund Policy.
